THE 1st Congress in Collaboration Between UNESA-SEAMEO 2021
In collaboration with the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), UNESA holds their 1st Congress entitled “The Role of SEAMEO in Advancing Sustainable Science and Education amidst Global Health Challenge in Covid-19 Recovery Regional Forum”. There will be presentations by SEAMEO Directors of Regional Members which will lay a foundation for further discussion towards the matter. The congress is conducted virtually from October 29th - 30th, 2021.
Amid the Covid-19 crisis that hit all areas around the world, including the Southeast Asian region, many changes have been implemented to face the challenges due to the virus. Particularly, in education, not only the students and the teachers but also the government and other actors in the field have to adapt to the unprecedented situation. Now that we’re leading towards the recovery from the pandemic. Once again, many appropriate adjustments need to be enforced. Here, SEAMEO’s role in sharing its input is especially important considering its objective to promote educational cooperation and development in the region.
Therefore, this forum is expected to be a feasible platform for experts, researchers, academics, and stakeholders in the fields of education to share insights, discuss, and collaborate in advancing sustainable science and education in the middle of post-Covid-19 recovery.
